Indigenous Plants “Bush Tucker” Workshop

Workshop Description & Agenda: 

• Smoking Ceremony - Welcome
• Guided indigenous garden tour of KooriePlant Trail and Pun Pun (billabong) area, to see plants growing in situ and in their nursery
• View traditional huts, possum skin cloaks, spears etc. for historical and cultural knowledge
• Indigenous plant information and knowledge about food, medicinal and historical uses
• Gourmet bush tucker lunch provided, including a vegetarian option
• Digital indigenous plant documentation – note your favourites, what to buy, growing tips etc.
• Digital Gourmet Bush Tucker Cookbook provided by email
• Indigenous bush tucker plant for each attendee
• Fact sheet for where to buy products, useful links, references

Hastings region Victoria - Address will be provided upon registration

Dress Code: 

Dress warmly, appropriate for cold and/or wet weather

What to bring: 

A gourmet bush tucker lunch will be provided, including vegetarian options. If you have very specific dietary requirements or allergies; please indicate this on your registration form, and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs (we may contact you to discuss this further). Please also bring a water bottle for your own use.

Price: 

$75 per person. Please Note: This event is not suitable for young children.

N.B. There will be goods available for purchase from the venue, however, at the present time, they are unable to accept cash payments, as such, a card for payment will be necessary. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
